Q1. What is the SickKids 150 50/50?
SickKids 150 50/50 is a charity raffle run by SickKids Foundation to celebrate the 150th birthday of SickKids Hospital. It is a 50/50 raffle where individuals purchase ticket(s) for the chance to win 50% of the total money raised. The other 50% will go towards SickKids! In addition, there are phase prizes throughout its run and an add-on Birthday Bonus Draw with a chance to win $15,000 every month for a year.
Q2. How long does the SickKids 150 50/50 Raffle run?
The SickKids 150 50/50 Raffle runs from April 3, 2025 to the Final Deadline on Midnight June 8, 2025.
Q3. When are the deadlines and draws?
The deadlines and draws dates in the SickKids 150 50/50 Raffle are as follows:
- 15 Prizes of $1,000: Deadline – April 25, 2025, Draw – April 28, 2025
- 5 Prizes of $10,000: Deadline – May 9, 2025, Draw – May 12, 2025
- 1 Prize of $50,000: Deadline – May 23, 2025, Draw – May 26, 2025
- Final 50/50 Draw & Birthday Bonus: Deadline – June 8, 2025, Draw – June 11, 2025
Q4. What percentage of the raffle proceeds are directed to SickKids?
Fifty percent of all raffle proceeds go towards supporting the highest priority needs at SickKids.
Q5. What is the SickKids 150 50/50 Raffle Licence Number?
The SickKids 150 50/50 Raffle Licence number is SKF150 50/50 #RAF1457306 as provided by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario. The Birthday Bonus Draw Licence number is SKBB #RAF1457389.
Q6. Is every part of the SickKids 150 50/50 Raffle managed through a digital platform?
All aspects of the raffle are managed using a digital platform, or software program, that has been approved by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario.
There is no paper generated during this raffle. Everything is digital, including:
- Purchasing
- Tickets and ticket distribution
- Draw process and management

Q2. How much do tickets cost?
The SickKids 150 50/50 Raffle offers the following ticket order bundles:

Birthday Bonus Add-On

Q3. Who is eligible to purchase SickKids 150 50/50 tickets?
Purchasers must be at least 18 years of age at the time of ordering. Tickets cannot be purchased in the name of a minor. Purchasers must also be in the province of Ontario to order tickets.
The following persons are prohibited from purchasing SickKids 150 50/50 tickets or obtaining benefit from the prize offering: SickKids Foundation staff and Board of Directors; The Hospital for Sick Children Executive Team and Board of Trustees; employees of registered gaming suppliers; and, members of the same household of each of the above.
Q4. I live in Ontario, but I am out of province. Can I still purchase tickets?
The regulation of 50/50 raffles in Canada falls under provincial jurisdiction and therefore you must be in the province to buy and play the SickKids 150 50/50 Raffle.
Q5. How long does it take to receive my tickets?
You will receive your tickets via emails automatically within minutes of purchase.
Q6. I did not receive my tickets.
If you purchased your 50/50 ticket but did not receive your numbers, please check your junk or spam folders for an e-mail from lottery.info@sickkidsfoundation.com in the event that it was flagged by your email provider. If the tickets still cannot be located, please reach out to lottery.info@sickkidsfoundation.com.
Q7. What if I lose my ticket or there is an error on my ticket?
You do not need your ticket to claim your prize. Your name, address and phone number are recorded in the database along with your ticket number, which is proof enough.
Depending on the value, winners may be required to provide identification prior to receiving their prize.
Q8. Will a tax receipt be issued for my ticket(s)?
No. According to Canada Revenue Agency regulations, charity raffle ticket purchases are considered entertainment, not a direct donation so we are unable to issue a tax receipt for 150 50/50.
Q9. Are the winnings taxable?
No. Lottery winnings are not taxable in Canada as they are considered windfall.
Q10. I am ordering my ticket online. Why isn’t it going through?
You must be in the province of Ontario to order a ticket. Some internet providers, although servicing an Ontario residence, are not registered in Ontario. As such, this may result in an error in processing your order.
Q11. Can I cancel my SickKids 150 50/50 tickets and get a refund?
50/50 Draw tickets may be cancelled prior to the commencement of the next upcoming draw from the time of your ticket purchase and will be refunded for the amount that was paid for the tickets. Once your ticket has been entered into a draw, no refunds are permitted.
Q12. How many SickKids 150 50/50 tickets will be sold?
There is no limit to the number of SickKids 150 50/50 tickets sold.
There are 400,000 Birthday Bonus tickets available. The maximum number of single tickets is 25,000 and the maximum number of 5-pack tickets is 60,000 and they are available until Midnight June 8, 2025 or while supplies last.
Q13. Will my SickKids 150 50/50 ticket(s) also be included in the phase prize draws?
Yes, all tickets purchased for any 50/50 jackpot are eligible to win all prizes that you qualify for at the time of purchase. i.e. if you purchase ahead of the first deadline, your ticket is eligible to win the first deadline prize, as well as the final jackpot.

Q1. How many prizes are there in the SickKids 150 50/50 Raffle?
There are a total of 22 winners for the Main SickKids 150 50/50 Raffle along with 1 winner to the add-on Birthday Bonus Draw. The prizes are as follows:
- 15 x $1,000 Prizes: Deadline – April 25, 2025, Draw – April 28, 2025
- 5 x $10,000 Prizes: Deadline – May 9, 2025, Draw – May 12, 2025

Q2. What is the minimum prize for the final 50/50 jackpot?
The minimum 50/50 prize payout is $150,000.
Q3. How is the winning number drawn?
The winning ticket numbers are drawn using a random number generator program within the raffle platform approved by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario. For phase prizes, the winning ticket is selected using the aforementioned random number generator from all tickets purchased up until that deadline.
Q4. How will winners be notified?
Winners will be notified via e-mail as to what they have won and how to claim their prize. Prizes will be awarded to the registered ticket buyer.
All winning ticket numbers and prize amounts will be posted on sickkids5050.ca by 1pm the day of each draw. Additionally, the winning number may also be posted on the SickKids Lottery Facebook and Instagram pages (@sickkidslottery).
Q5. Will my name be publicized if I am a winner?
Yes, in accordance with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario, the winners must be collected in a list for reporting purposes (including ticket number, name and city). SickKids Foundation reserves the right to publish the name, city and photograph of any winner. Winner information may be released to the news media and may be used in advertising for the Hospital for Sick Children, SickKids 150 50/50, SickKids Lottery or SickKids Foundation.
Q6. How do I claim my prize?
All winners will receive an email with instructions on how to claim their prize. We ask that all winners claim their prizes within three (3) months if possible. Prizes must be claimed within six (6) months of the final draw date.
Q7. What currency is the prize money paid in?
All transactions and winnings are paid in Canadian Dollars.
Q8. If I win, will my ticket number still be included in the following draws?
Yes, every ticket is entered in each draw occurring after the time of purchase.

Q1. I cannot access sickkids5050.ca. What should I do?
Per AGCO regulations – you must be located within the province of Ontario at the time of your ticket purchase. Your device’s locations services must be turned on to verify your location prior to entry to the online SickKids 150 50/50 sales platform. Users must also agree to all Terms and Conditions outlined.
Q2. I am receiving a prompt that sickkids5050.ca would like to use my current location. Why does sickkids5050.ca require my location?
Per AGCO regulations – you must be located within the province of Ontario at the time of your ticket purchase. Your current location will confirm your eligibility.
Q3. What if I already selected “Don’t Allow” the share of my location?
Reloading the page should cause you to be prompted to share your location again. If you have specified that you never want to share your location, you will need to go into your settings to allow. See Enable Device Location Services Section.
Q4. What if I receive the following prompts?
- "You must allow your browser to share your location to purchase tickets. Please enable location services for this browser and try again."
- "Location information is unavailable. In order to purchase tickets your location must be able to be determined. Please enable location services for this browser and try again."
- "The request to get user location timed out. In order to purchase tickets your location must be able to be determined. Please enable location services for this browser and try again."
- "An unknown error occurred while attempting to determine your location... In order to purchase tickets your location must be able to be determined. Please enable location services for this browser and try again."
These prompts are related to your Location setting. You may have told your browser to never share your location. You have to change that setting for the website before continuing with your ticket order. See Location Troubleshooting.
Q5. I entered the wrong e-mail, how can I get my tickets resent?
Please send us an email to lottery.info@sickkidsfoundation.com and we will resend your tickets to your requested email address.
